What I Learned from the UPCAT Workshop. :>
Yesterday I went to the UPCAT Workshop in SMX Convention Center. :D It was fun! Cool speakers and cool raffle prizes! Too bad I didn't win. Hahaha But anyways, isshare ko sa inyo yung ibang tips. Hahaha Hindi lahat sasabihin ko ah? Hahaha. Kasi naman, unfair. Hahah Sayang effort kong pumuntang SMX tas kayo mababasa niyo lang sa blog. HAHAHA :D Wag kayong magagalit or maartehan or maiinis sa akin ah? Kasi nga, ayun, mejo unfair nga. Hahaha. pero yung mga ibibigay ko naman, sure tips. OYE. Let's start? :>TIP # 1
It's UP or PMA.
I find this funny. :P ewan ko lang sa inyo. Hahaha. Akala nung mga nasa tabi ko PMA stands for, of course, Philippine Military Academy, but no. It stands for Pahinga Muna Anak. WENKS. Hahaha SIGE NAAA. CORNYYYYY. :P but anyways, the speaker asked us, sino pa ang magttake ng ibang entrance exams, alot of us raised our hands, -INCLUDING ME! May UST pa eh. haha- then, the speaker shared to us na, most of the UP Students, didn't take any other exams. Kasi daw, it's UP OR NOTHING.
TIP # 2
THINK UPCAT AS A GAME.
The speaker asked us again, who plays DoTa. Aba, shempre mga lalaki nagtaas! -DOTANG INA YAAAN!! LOL- Anyways, if you're a gamer, you might as well think UPCAT as a game. As long as you practice and learn very hard, eventually, you'll pass it. *wink*
TIP # 3
VISIT THE ACTUAL ROOM!
If you have time, you may visit the testing area anytime in UP-Diliman. So as you can adjust to whatever environment the room is. Para matancha niyo na if it's cold or warm. Make sure to BRING YOUR JACKET! para kung malamig, suot mo. Hahaha kung mainit, hubarin mo. SIMPLE. :P
TIP # 4
REHEARSE TAKING THE UPCAT.
This tip doesn't mean you will take the exam OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Hindi literal ang gustong i-convey nitong tip na ito. It means, rehearse sleeping and waking up early. Example: if you're test time is 6:30AM, then you have to rehearse waking up at 4AM for a week. Atleast, pag dating ng UPCAT day, sanay ka na!
TIP # 5
PREPARE YOUR TEST MATERIALS.
Of course, a week before your testing date, dapat ayos na yung testing materials mo.
What do you need to bring? hm. simple.
-test permit.
-Pencils[no.2][four pcs.] >Exagge daw yung six. haha< -trusted eraser. -watch -snacks -attire. [REMEMBER: The UPCAT is not a fashion show, so just wear something comfy. If it's warm, wear a light blouse and a pants/slacks. If it's cold, bring a jacket.] TIP # 6
ARRIVE AT THE TEST VENUE EARLY!
Before you walk in the testing area, take a 10 minute walk around the place.

USE YOUR SCRATCH PAPER WISELY!
Be organized!

BE CONFIDENT!

MAINTAIN PROPER POSTURE.

DONT' ASK THE PROCTOR ANYTHING.
Unless, you can't see the reading material, there are missing pages or you are out of scratch papers. Cos if you ask something to the proctor about the question itself, ang sasabihin lang sayo ng proctor, "USE YOUR BEST JUDGEMENT!" gets? :D

DO NOT CHOOSE THE FUNNY CHOICES!
Minsan talaga, nauubusan ng choices ang mga test makers, so all they do is put a funny choice. Aba shempre hindi mo dapat piliin yun diba? HAHAHA
EXAMPLE:

a. An escaped moon of Neptune.
b. usually the most distant planet in the SOlar System.
c. the name of Mickey Mouse's dog. X
d. all of the above
*definitely , the wrong answer is letter c, so automatically, letter D is wrong NA rin. diba? :P
TIP # 13
GUESS! Even if it's RIGHT MINUS WRONG.
READ THIS! Kahit na right minus wrong, hulaan mo pa rin. K? Kasi kapag mali ka, ang ibabawas lang sa point mo is .25, not completely 1 point. gets?
Example: nagmamadali ka na kasi 5mins nalang ang nalalabi, sa math test mo, tas may 10 items pang natitira. Hulaan mo. GO! DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING BLANK. Ganito, sa ten items nga kapag nakatama ka ng 2 items, zero makukuha mo, so no effect. Parehas lang kayo ng score nung iniwan yun ng blank. Gets?
P.S. TRUST YOUR INSTINCT! Go with your first guess, unless may kutob ka parin na mali yun. Hahaha :>

So, yeah. Mga ka-batch!! GOODLUCK SA LAHAT NG MAG-TTAKE NG UPCAT! KAYA NATIN ITOOOOO:> Wag nating isiping sa 70,000 na kukuha ng UPCAT, 10,000 lang ang makukuha. HAHAHAHA Hindi kita tinatakot. hahaha sarili ko pinupush ko para mas galingan ko. hahaha
